Araseli is currently working on the Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction Grant project SPAN project at West Valley Detention Center, under the direction of Dr. Sechrest. Her responsibilities include organizing the collection of data, cleaning the database and assisting in statistical analysis. She is currently working on a M.A. with the department of criminal justice, CSUSB. Her Masters’ thesis concerns the SPAN project in relation to how mentally ill offenders interact with the community mental health agencies. Her future career aspirations include working as a crime analyst and pursuing her doctorate degree.
